COVID-19 data

The COVID-19 data of daily confirmed cases and deaths can be downloaded from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) website32526. Negative confirmed cases were corrected to 0 regarding it as an abnormal count. The data of 90 countries from December 31, 2019, to August 31, 2020, with a total of 26,240,426 confirmed cases and 866,354 deaths worldwide, was used in the analysis.

Data smoothing is used to remove noise from a data set, allowing important patterns to stand out.
